Graduate Research Assistant
The main tasks associated with the job role involve working with the Technical Director in attending to all aspects of the daily running of the R&D workshop and office. This will involve assisting in company research projects as directed by the Technical Director, sourcing items and materials needed for Research and Development as well as taking on some of the administrative duties within the department.
Should have completed or be in the process of completing a BEng. or equivalent qualification.
Must have a keen interest in wet-blasting technology and associated processes.
Must have a working knowledge of research methodologies and tools.
Practical experience of research and development within the engineering sector is desirable.
Candidate must be able to manage their own workload and follow instructions as given.
Candidate must be well organised and a good administrator.
Candidate must be fully IT literate and adept in the use of the Microsoft Office package.
Candidate must be able to present and conduct themselves in a professional manner and have excellent communication skills.
Should have a flexible approach to work so as to be able to respond to unexpected requests or changes in workload priority.
Approach to work must be methodical and meticulous with great attention to detail given.
Must understand the need to maintain confidentiality in business to sustain competitive advantage.
Must have right to stay and work in Guernsey for the duration of the contract.
40 Hours per week with training available.
