Healthcare assistant (Nursing team)

Queens Road Medical Practice

Queens Road Medical Practice are looking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant (Nursing team).

Work involved

Phlebotomy
Simple injections
Management of simple wounds
Emergency and routine ECGs
Assisting with minor operations
Occupational health medicals
Health checks
Audiometry
Diabetes management
Blood pressure monitoring and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring

Skills and Qualifications required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate skills that contribute to assessment
Demonstrate the ability to work within teams
Computer literate
"Skills for Care" Care Certificate (or commitment to achieve it within 6 months)
NVQ level 3 (or commitment to achieve it within 5 years) - desirable but not essential
Relevant quality assured courses as necessary (provided by the Practice)

Training available

Full training will be given as necessary.

Pay range

Starting rate £12.00 per hour (to be agreed).

Working hours

Full time or part time, can be negotiated.
